The Healing Harmony of Hypno-Sound Therapy & Acupuncture

Stress, anxiety, and emotional imbalances have become all too common in our world today. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) provides a holistic approach to healing, reminding us that the mind, body, and spirit are deeply interconnected. Ear acupuncture, or auricular therapy, is one of the most impactful yet often overlooked modalities within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). When combined with Hypno-Sound Therapy, it creates an incredibly restorative experience. At our recent event, guests experienced this unique fusion of healing techniques, designed to activate the vagus nerve, reset the parasympathetic nervous system, and release physical and emotional blockages. Read on to learn how this powerful practice unfolded:

Hypno-Sound Therapy

A Unique Event for Holistic Healing

Our recently co-hosted Vibrational Healing: A Hypnotherapy Sound Bath & Ear Acupuncture Experience event with Felice Acupuncture and Sam Audette was an experience designed to bring together two potent healing modalities. The session guided participants through a fusion of sound healing techniques and TCM principles, creating a safe space for relaxation, balance, and emotional release.

Felice Acupuncture's own Sam Audette applied gentle ear and body acupuncture designed to stimulate the vagus nerve, which plays a key role in regulating the body's stress response, digestion, and emotional well-being. This targeted activation allowed for deeper relaxation, improved mood, and enhanced resilience to stress. Combined with the power of Hypno-Sound Therapy facilitated by Board-Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist Letizia Silvestri, the practice created a deeply restorative experience, helping participants release physical and emotional blockages while resetting their parasympathetic nervous system.

The Ear’s Connection to the Vagus Nerve

From a biomedical perspective, the auricle (outer ear) has direct neural connections to the vagus nerve through the auricular branch of the vagus nerve (ABVN), also known as Arnold’s nerve. This branch innervates specific areas of the ear, making it an accessible point for vagus nerve activation. Stimulating these points (which we did during the event) engages the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to reduce stress and inflammation.

Ear Acupuncture: A Path to Whole-Body Balance

The human ear serves as a microcosm of the entire body, with hundreds of acupuncture points corresponding to different organs, emotions, and energy pathways. By stimulating these points, the nervous system can be regulated, circulation improved, and energetic balance restored.

During the event, key acupuncture points were activated, including:

  • Shen Men (Spirit Gate): Known for its ability to calm the mind and ease emotional distress.

  • Point Zero: Helps reset and realign the body’s energy systems.

  • Kidney Point: Grounds the body and supports emotional resilience.

By placing fine acupuncture needles or ear seeds on these points, participants entered a deep state of relaxation, allowing the healing process to unfold naturally. The experience was further enhanced by the addition of Hypno-Sound Therapy, intensifying the effects of acupuncture and guiding the mind into an even deeper state of calm and clarity.

The Power of Hypno-Sound Therapy

Sound has long been used as a tool for healing, with different frequencies resonating with various organs and emotions. Board-certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Letizia, led the session using frequencies designed to encourage emotional processing and deep relaxation.

In TCM, each organ is linked to specific emotions and sounds. For example:

  • The liver, associated with anger, responds to soft "Shh" sounds.

  • The lungs, which store grief, benefit from deep, resonant breathwork and harmonic vibrations.

Through a carefully curated sound healing event, participants experienced a shift in energy, allowing stress to melt away and emotional blocks to release. The integration of acupuncture heightened the effects, allowing for a deep sense of ease and renewal.

Letizia’s Experience: A Deep Connection to Intuition

While facilitating the Hypno-Sound Bath, Letizia had acupuncture needles placed on her face, including one on her third eye. This placement created an intensified connection to her intuition, allowing her to guide the session from a place of heightened awareness. She also wore ear seeds, similar to those used in the military, which provided continuous stimulation to key acupuncture points, enhancing her ability to remain present and attuned to the energy of everyone in the room.
