Wellness Series at the Kimpton La Peer Hotel
We are thrilled to announce that Altha will be co-hosting a wellness experiences series at the beautiful Kimpton La Peer Hotel. Just steps from the vibrant intersection of Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, Kimpton La Peer Hotel thrives in the heart of West Hollywood’s Design District. The neighborhood’s engaging blend of art, architecture and fashion are reflected throughout this spirited, design-centric hotel, evoking the best of its tasteful surroundings. Altha will be bringing once a month a bespoke sound healing experience, kicking off the partnership on December 18th with a Yin Yoga Sound Bath. This immersive experience is designed to relax and restore the body, the mind and the soul. This practice has been thoughtfully curated to drop attendees’ nervous system into a state of deep relaxation & regeneration. Beginning with a calming meditation and pranayama practice, led by Mychal V. Prieto, we will then ease into yin yoga to deeply nourish and expand the joints before taking it down another notch as we transition into the restorative asana portion, all while receiving the melodic healing sounds of gongs, crystal alchemy singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, ocean drums, chimes, & more! We are excited to share that this wellness series will be powered by Better Booch, a premium small craft kombucha that is brewed and canned in downtown Los Angeles. We love Better Booch as they are big believers in the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It’s how you make kombucha - with just tea, water, sugar, a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY!). They are not just an immune supporting tonic, but a better way to approach your health.
And we are even more excited to share that among the various wellness and relaxation experiences for the humans, we will also be co-hosting a series of dog sounds baths, which is our specialty at Altha, thanks to our Co-founder and Chief Barketing Officer, Zen.
The Kimpton La Peer hotel is well-renowned to be one of the most pet-friendly hotels: as matter of fact, they have for the furry (or feathery or scaly family member’s) guests a selection of hotel amenities including plush pet-beds, water bowls, mats and food for the comfort of their guests’ animals. Their concierge has a well-curated list of nearby pet-friendly restaurants, parks, groomers and pet boutiques, not to mention that they have special door hangers to inform their staff or other hotel guess if a beloved pet is in the room.
Because at Altha it is our passion to delight and surprise our guests, at the beginning of each dog sound baths, the pups will be receiving a Calm + Balance adaptogenic treat, made with ashwagandha and lemon balm created by Botanical Bones, a family business thoughtfully making nutrient-dense dog cookies that nourish the mind, body and soul, to help our furry guests to reduce stress levels, to fully relax and find their inner calm.
All wellness activities will be taking place on the expansive rooftop garden, that offers 360-degree views on the City of Angeles.
